Who: Anyone who has or can borrow a Sunfish, Laser or Open BIC. Adults, Kids, Beginner and Experienced Sailors welcome!
Where: Meet in the middle of the lake and gather around the MYC pontoon at 10 am.
Prizes and Donuts: Following the event sailors can gather at the Levett’s (The Ice House, 1110 East Shore Drive). There will be lots of buoys and pier space to tie up your boat.
The details: We’ll sail around a triangle course counterclockwise. A jet ski carrying a flag will demonstrate the course before we start.
There will be a horn at 5 minutes, 4 minutes, and 1 minute before the start. The final horn will be the start. The committee boat will also announce the times. The number of laps will be determined on the day of the event and will be posted on the board behind the committee boat.
Inclement Weather: In the event of inclement weather, a decision will be made by 9 am whether to cancel the event or sail. We will post it on the Maxinkuckee Yacht Club Facebook page.
